Information used by NextGenEM

Depending on the capabilities you use, NextGenEM may retain account identity and organization information, role and permission assignments, training and assessment records, operational event activity, ICS-214 entries, secure-submission records, shelter operations data, game scores and achievements, notification preferences, and security or access logs.

Why the information is used

Information is used to provide the requested service, control access, maintain operational accountability, generate user-requested records, support training, communicate relevant system activity, protect accounts, diagnose problems, and improve application reliability and game balance.

Operational and audit records

Some activity is intentionally retained as an audit record. Administrators may be unable to remove or alter records that are necessary for operational accountability, security, legal retention, or the integrity of an event history.

Email and notifications

Users can opt out of eligible automated email in their profile. Security, access, transactional, or operationally required communications may still be sent when necessary to provide or protect the service.

Access and sharing

Access is limited through roles, permissions, event assignments, and administrative controls. Information may be available to authorized organizations or personnel when required for the workflow in which it was submitted. NextGenEM is not designed to sell personal information.

Security

NextGenEM uses account controls, password assurance, audit history, application monitoring, security scanning, and administrative review to reduce risk. No system can guarantee absolute security; suspected compromise should be reported to a NextGenEM administrator promptly.
